and finish it by your deadline, the clerk of court keeps the points off your driving record.
How long do I have to complete it?
Your deadline comes from your citation and the date you elected school. Call us with your
citation number and we will read the date on your paperwork and tell you which class still fits it.
Is the course really only four hours?
Yes. The class runs four hours in one sitting, with breaks. If you are taking the course
a second time in the same year in Broward County, that class runs eight hours.
Do I have to take a test?
There is nothing to study for. The class is taught live and you complete the course by attending the full four hours
and taking part. If your court order lists anything extra, bring it and we will check it with you.
Is this the same as a DUI class?
No. A DUI case requires a DUI program, not the 4-hour BDI class. Call us with your paperwork and we will tell you which course the court will accept.
How does my certificate get to the court?
We report your completion so the court and the DMV have it on file, and you leave class thesame day with your own copy as proof.
What if I am late or need to change my class date?
Call the office. If your deadline allows it, we will move you to another date. Arriving late can cost
you credit for the class, so call before class starts if you are running behind.
Does the class count if my ticket is from another county?
Yes. The course is state approved and accepted statewide. Tell us the county listed on your
citation so your completion is reported to the right clerk.
